Centre, Bhubaneswar has
o assisted a SSI unit in Kolkata for developing
40 nos. of jaw profile using wire electric discharge
machine, an export item which is to be exported
to USA.
o rectified two sets of pet bottle blow moulds for
a local SSI units.

Centre, Kolkata has manufactured and supplied blanking
dies for two rupee coin to Government of India Mints
in Kolkata and Mumbai with necessary modification
in the coin design.

Central Tool Room, Ludhiana has conducted
short term training courses in computer aided Tool
Design, CAD/CAM and Machining Computer Tool Engineering,
Auto CAD, CNC Milling and Press Tool Design etc.
in which 80 trainees were trained.

Central Institute of Tool Design,
Hyderabad has conducted short term courses in CAD/CAM/CAE
in which 67 trainees were trained.

Under ISO 9000/14001 Reimbursement
Scheme, 532 cases have been made ready for the next
meeting of the Screening Committee..

Electronics Service and Training
Centre (ESTC), Ramnagar conducted 11 short-term
and 2 long term training courses for altogether
125 persons and undertook 10 job works of 10 small-scale
units

On credit flow to SSI sector, a
meeting of the Parliament Standing Committee on
Industry was held on 16.8.05 with nationalized banks.

During the month, 30 Entrepreneurship
Development Programmes, 20 Motivational Campaigns
and 10 Management Development Programmes were conducted
by the SIDO field institutions in different states
and altogether 2800 persons took part in the programmes.

Laboratory of Fragrance & Flavour
Development Centre (FFDC) Kannauj got a consultancy
for documentation and implementation of quality
system in a laboratory at Gurgaon and earned revenue
of Rs. 50,000/-.

A training programme on “Fragrance
& Flavour and its applications” has been
organized by FFDC, Kannuaj from 22nd to 26th August
2005 and 13 participants were trained.

For adoption of bar code, Rs.2.85
lakh have been approved for SSI- MDA Committee as
75% reimbursement to 19 SSI units.

SIDO participated in an International
Exhibition at Chiba, Japan during the period 25-27
August 2005 and displayed the exhibits of 21 SSI
units.
